Seth Rollins will be in New Orleans for WWE Money in the Bank on Saturday, October 10. He will be at the Smoothie King Center, but he ruled out appearing on the premium live event’s broadcast.
In a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Rollins confirmed that he will travel to New Orleans for a previously advertised fan appearance. The appearance is one of the experiences offered through On Location, an official partner of WWE.
Rollins made it clear during the interview, however, that he does not plan to return to WWE programming.
“I will be in New Orleans. As I’m flying down there tomorrow… I have a pre-advertised appearance there. So, I’ll be there to meet some of our fans and, you know, enjoy the festivities for a little while. And then I will be on hand to watch my wife, who’s competing in a triple threat match for the Women’s World Championship. Hopefully… she is able to bring home some gold. We need some world championship gold in the Rollins-Lynch household. It’s been too long.”
“But I will not be participating in any of the matches. I will not be involved in the show. You will not see me on the screen. If you tune in to the ESPN app to watch Money in the Bank, I will not be there.”
Rollins has been off WWE TV since SummerSlam in August, when he lost to Roman Reigns in a World Heavyweight Championship match.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Rollins recently suffered a minor injury and was given a few more days of rest than originally planned.
As previously reported, WWE plans to bring Rollins back at a time when his return will have the most impact, although no date has been confirmed.
