Haku turned up on the July 31 episode of WWE SmackDown from the Resch Center in Green Bay, appearing alongside his sons, Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga, in a pre-taped promo.

Holding a staff, Haku reminded the two of their family roots and sent them out to put the fear back into the SmackDown locker room.

“Don’t forget who you are. You are the sons of Haku. Now go and make them fear us again.” — Haku

WWE stopped short of calling Haku their manager, and there was no announcement that he’ll be a regular on TV going forward. Still, the framing of the promo — and the marching orders he handed his sons — points to Haku taking on a mentor role as the group moves into its next chapter.

Tama and Talla walked out on Solo Sikoa on the June 26 SmackDown, a week after Sikoa’s interference cost them their WWE Tag Team Title match against Damian Priest and R-Truth. They told Sikoa they’d heard from the family’s “elders” and were done.

Haku’s appearance also gives a face to those elders, who have been referenced but never shown since the split. He isn’t related to the Anoa’i family by blood, but he’s long been treated as part of the extended family and is called “Uncle” by The Rock.

This was Haku’s first SmackDown appearance in the angle. His last WWE appearance before this came at the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony in Las Vegas, where he helped induct Demolition alongside Arn Anderson and The Warlord.
