Psycho Clown was taken out by a mystery attacker during Saturday’s AAA Verano de Escándalo while competing in a qualifying match for the vacant AAA Latin American Championship at TripleMania 34.
Psycho Clown was facing El Fiscal and Cruz Del Toro when a man wearing coveralls and a mask emerged from the crowd. The attacker dragged Psycho Clown out of the ring area, ripped off his mask, and chokeslammed him onto the front row chairs.
With Psycho Clown completely out of the picture, El Fiscal capitalized. He finished off Cruz Del Toro with a pinfall to punch his ticket to the Fatal 4-Way Match for the title.
El Fiscal now joins La Parka and El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr. in the championship match at TripleMania. The belt was vacated after El Hijo del Vikingo went down with a knee injury that required surgery.

Although AAA did not officially reveal the attacker’s identity during the broadcast, the mystery has already been solved.
Spoilers from the 7/25 tapings in Aguascalientes indicate that the man is Drake Morreaux, a WWE talent who had been appearing on LFG.
Morreaux’s presence in Mexico didn’t come out of nowhere, either. Months earlier, Shawn Michaels informed him that there was no spot for him on NXT but that a significant opportunity existed in AAA.
TripleMania 34 kicks off on 9/11 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas before moving to Arena CDMX for night two on 9/13.
