AAA has announced that Rey Fenix will defend the AAA World Cruiserweight Championship against Noisy Boy this Saturday, August 15, at Domo Centenario in Torreón, Mexico.
Fenix is in his second reign with the title, dating back to May 30 when he defeated Laredo Kid on night one of Noche de Los Grandes. Since capturing the belt, he has racked up four successful defenses across both AAA and SmackDown.
Noisy Boy gets a major opportunity just days after falling to Jack Cartwheel on the final week of Verano de Escándalo. Following that bout, Perros del Mal attacked both men. The faction remains a central presence in AAA’s top storylines.
Looking ahead, Fenix may already have his next challenger lined up after this weekend. Ricky Saints confronted the champion backstage on SmackDown recently and made it clear he’s coming for the title.
Beyond the title match, Penta is also confirmed to appear on the Torreón show.
Dominik Mysterio and El Grande Americano will also square off on the card, continuing their feud over the AAA Mega Championship in the lead-up to TripleMania 34.
