Omos has been suspended indefinitely from AAA after a major incident on AAA on FOX involving General Manager Rey Mysterio.
The incident took place during tonight’s show on August 22 in Torreón, Mexico. Omos was originally scheduled to face Galeno in a qualifying match for the AAA Latin American Championship at Triplemanía 34, but the bout ended in a no-contest.
Rey Mysterio came out after the match to intervene. Omos attacked the AAA General Manager and threatened to Chokeslam him, prompting Mysterio to announce the former WWE Superstar’s indefinite suspension.
Even after the suspension was announced, Omos continued the assault on Mysterio.

2:21 AM · Aug 23, 2026The suspension comes at a critical time, as Omos was looking to earn a spot in the match to crown a new AAA Latin American Champion at Triplemanía 34. The title was previously vacated after El Hijo Del Vikingo suffered an injury, and AAA launched a qualifying tournament to determine the participants in the championship match.
With Omos sidelined indefinitely, Dominik Mysterio also loses a key ally heading into Triplemanía 34. The reigning AAA Mega Champion is set to defend against El Grande Americano at the event, and the giant’s absence could shift the dynamic of the rivalry.
AAA has not yet announced when or whether Omos will be reinstated.
