Sami Zayn, the Undisputed WWE Champion, could be days away from the biggest win of his career in WWE. He will face Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel on Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez picked Zayn to win the match. It should be noted that this was their opinion and not a report on WWE’s plans.
Neither title will be on the line. World Heavyweight Champion Reigns and Zayn will only be wrestling for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship, which would allow WWE to have Zayn win.
They made the call shortly after Monday’s Raw, where Zayn attacked Reigns and stood tall to end the show.
The last big singles match between the two was at Elimination Chamber 2023 in Zayn’s hometown of Montreal, where Reigns beat him to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Zayn still hasn’t beaten Reigns, his former stablemate in The Bloodline, in a singles match.
Crown Jewel is set to be held at Riyadh Season Stadium and will start at 12 p.m. ET and 9 a.m. PT.
