Add as a preferred source on Google Zoey Stark is officially back in the ring, ending a 432-day break that included a serious knee injury and her eventual release from WWE.
Now competing under the name Zoey Serrano, she wrestled on both shows of the RevPro Women’s Grand Prix, held July 25 at The Hangar in Wolverhampton, England.
On the first show, Serrano lost to Zeuxis in the tournament quarterfinals. Hours later, though, she picked up her first win since her WWE release, beating JGU in a singles match. It also marked her first appearance outside the company since December 2020.
Her last match had come on Monday Night RAW on May 19, 2025, in a triple threat Money in the Bank qualifying match against Rhea Ripley and Kairi Sane.
During that match, Stark suffered torn ACL, MCL and meniscus injuries. She later underwent a three-and-a-half-hour reconstructive surgery.
Stark was medically cleared by the end of February, but WWE released her in April, and she had to wait out her non-compete clause before she could return to the ring.

In May, when she unveiled the name “The Purist” Zoey Serrano, she opened up about how hard the time away had been:
“It’s hard, man. So, I don’t think people understand how much I love wrestling. It’s what I live for, this is what I believe I was put on this Earth for, is to be in this ring to perform. This is it for me. This is all I’ve ever wanted to do.”
Beyond her two matches, Serrano also reunited with Shayna Baszler. The former Pure Fusion Collective stablemates attacked Kanji with a chair and were then announced for a match against Kanji and Myla Grace at RevPro’s July 26 show in Coventry.
The reunion suggests the bond between Serrano and Baszler could carry on outside WWE, as the former Zoey Stark kicks off a schedule already filling up with appearances across the independent scene.
