Rhea Ripley once again brought attention to a growing issue involving the boundaries between fans and WWE stars.
During a Twitch stream with Gabriel Aeros, known as King Kreas, and Buddy Matthews, Ripley revealed that a fan got her personal phone number and sent her a message asking to meet her, claiming they did not have money to buy SmackDown tickets.
The situation clearly bothered the WWE star, especially because this was not an isolated case. Ripley said this type of approach happens “all the time,” pointing to people who show up at her house and also contact her through her private phone.
“I won’t say how, but someone found my number and texted me the other day, wanting me to see them because they couldn’t buy tickets to SmackDown. It baffles me. There’s no privacy anywhere.”

Ripley had already publicly asked fans not to send letters or gifts to her home, either by mail or in person. At the time, she described the situation as “100% wrong.”
The issue also connects to other recent incidents. In 2023, Ripley made it clear that she would no longer sign items for fans at airports, except for personalized photos, after being followed by people pushing for autographs while she was trying to find her Uber.
WWE also dealt with a major security issue during WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, when several talents were surrounded by fans at the MGM Grand hotel. Ripley was specifically cited as one example of a wrestler who had already been swarmed while simply trying to get into a car during a tour.
As of now, WWE has not commented on Ripley’s latest account. Ripley remains off television after the company announced on SmackDown that she suffered a knee injury in Italy and has no timetable for her return.
