Ricky Saints landed a major spot on WWE‘s live event schedule this weekend.
Saints will team with Gunther to take on new Undisputed WWE Champion CM Punk and Cody Rhodes. The match will headline both shows the company is running in the state of New Mexico.
The first event takes place this Saturday, July 11, at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces. On Sunday, July 12, WWE heads to The Pit in Albuquerque. Punk, Rhodes, and Gunther are among the top names advertised for both nights.
Saints’ spot on the card is notable given how little time has passed since his call-up to the main roster. The former NXT Champion had his move to Friday Night SmackDown confirmed in April and officially debuted on the blue brand on May 1.

Since then, Saints has already faced Cody Rhodes in his first match on the main roster and defeated Carmelo Hayes to earn a shot at the United States Championship. He came up short against champion Trick Williams at Night of Champions, held on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The New Mexico shows also mark the start of CM Punk’s extensive schedule as champion. The “Best in the World” announced that he’ll work 13 live events between this Saturday and August 30, with Las Cruces as the first stop.
Even after the loss to Williams, Saints remains in a highly relevant spot in WWE, sharing the main event with three of the company’s biggest current names.
