Roman Reigns turned up the heat on Jacob Fatu just hours before WWE Backlash, where he’ll put the World Heavyweight Championship on the line against his cousin in Tampa, Florida.
On his official X account, the OTC stated that Fatu will always be family, but made it clear that after tonight, he’ll understand why Reigns was the one chosen, why he’s “One of One,” and why he’s still the Head of the Table.
To close it out, Reigns was blunt, stating that at Backlash, Jacob Fatu will acknowledge him as his Tribal Chief.
The rivalry kicked off right after WrestleMania 42, when Reigns defeated CM Punk in the main event and captured the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time in his career. On the following RAW, he tried to bring The Bloodline back together alongside The Usos, but was interrupted by Fatu, who challenged him for the title.

At Backlash You WILL Acknowledge Your Tribal Chief. #WWEBacklash
According to WWE itself, Fatu believes Reigns never did anything for him or his family, pointing out that Solo Sikoa was the one who brought him into the company. Because of that, the Samoan Werewolf is determined to take the world title.
On last night’s SmackDown, Fatu also made it clear that he doesn’t just plan to challenge for the belt — he plans to take it from Reigns at the premium live event.
WWE Backlash takes place this Saturday, May 9, at the Benchmark International Arena, with coverage starting at 6 PM on ESPN Unlimited.
