WWE appears to be standing by its plans to hold Crown Jewel on November 7 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, despite a series of terrorist attacks by Yemen’s Houthis on King Khalid International Airport. The attacks have killed 12 people and injured more than 300.
Roman Reigns will face Sami Zayn for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship, WWE confirmed during Monday’s RAW in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Both men are coming off championship victories. Reigns retained the World Heavyweight Championship against LA Knight at Money in the Bank, turning in one of his best performances of 2026. Zayn’s win came on the September 11 episode of SmackDown in Mexico City, where he defeated CM Punk to regain the Undisputed WWE Championship.

WWE also announced Liv Morgan vs. Chelsea Green for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship. Morgan regained the Women’s World Championship at Money in the Bank, beating then-champion Stephanie Vaquer and Becky Lynch in a Triple Threat match.
For now, Crown Jewel remains set for Riyadh Season Stadium in Saudi Arabia. Plans could change in the coming days, however, because of the imminent security risk facing the entire WWE contingent at a time when the fighting appears far from over.
