Samoa Joe believes AEW has wrestlers with the potential to move up the card who are not yet getting the opportunities they need.
In a recent interview with Scott Fishman of TV Insider, Joe singled out Queen Aminata, Trish Adora, and Action Andretti. He started with the women’s division, pointing to Aminata as someone who still has plenty to offer.
“There is a ton of potential that is kind of unrealized there.”
Joe said he sees the same in Adora, and that both women may still have the best work of their careers ahead of them.
On the men’s side, Joe picked Andretti. He believes that with more opportunities and more TV time, Andretti could become someone capable of taking on AEW’s top names.
Aminata recently received a shot at the AEW Women’s World Championship, losing to Mercedes Moné at Grand Slam France on Oct. 6. She has also been teaming with Mina Shirakawa, picking up wins with her on Collision and in ROH.
Adora, on the other hand, has done most of her work in ROH, where she is a member of Shane Taylor Promotions. Her most recent appearance on ROH TV came on Oct. 1, when she defeated Rachael Ellering.
Andretti already has a significant accomplishment to his name as the reigning ROH World Television Champion. He is also a member of The Opps, the faction Joe himself leads, and he defended the title against Adam Priest in September.
