Kenny Omega has his sights set on the IWGP Heavyweight Championship and plans to have a big match at NJPW Power Struggle, which is set for November 3 at Hiroshima Sun Plaza Hall in Japan.
In backstage comments at Monday’s King of Pro-Wrestling, Omega proposed a three-way match against Yota Tsuji and Boltin Oleg, without the title on the line. The condition would be that, if he wins, he receives a future title shot.
It all started after Tsuji defeated Ryohei Oiwa in the main event of King of Pro-Wrestling to retain the title for the second time.
During his celebration, Tsuji was caught off guard by a video message from Omega, who criticized Tsuji’s absence from AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door and challenged him. In the video, Omega said.
“Show me, now, why you believe in the New Japan of today.”

Tsuji, however, initially rejected the challenge, demanding that Omega appear in person in Japan. Shortly afterward, Boltin Oleg came to the ring to confront Tsuji but was blindsided by Omega himself.
Omega attacked both wrestlers and hit Tsuji with a V-Trigger, followed by a One-Winged Angel. Omega then made it clear that he intends to discuss his upcoming plans with NJPW President Hiroshi Tanahashi.
