Solo Sikoa’s bid to break free from The Bloodline came up short. In Monday’s RAW main event from Norfolk, Virginia, Jey Uso defeated Solo, meaning he now has to rejoin the faction under Roman Reigns.
The stipulation was set during the show’s opening segment. After Solo once again refused to rejoin the family, Jey challenged him to a match and declared that a loss would force Solo back into The Bloodline. Solo accepted and raised the stakes, adding that if he won, Roman Reigns and the rest of the family would have to leave him alone permanently.
Solo came close to earning his freedom. Late in the match, Jimmy Uso got involved and ate a Samoan Spike for his trouble. Jey capitalized, connecting with a Spear followed by the Uso Splash to pick up the win.
The loss comes just over a week after Solo teamed with LA Knight and Royce Keys to defeat Jey, Jimmy, and Jacob Fatu at SummerSlam on August 1. The following week, Fatu beat Keys in a Street Fight, putting him on the shelf.
Fatu himself joined The Bloodline after losing a Tribal Combat to Reigns several months ago. Since then, Roman has made bringing Solo back into the fold one of the group’s top priorities, something Solo had been resisting for weeks.
The decisive moment is expected to come on the August 17 RAW in Buffalo, New York. Roman Reigns is already officially announced for the show.
