Zilla Fatu, son of the late Umaga, made it clear that he has no plans to go anywhere else before trying to make it to WWE.

In a recent interview with Bootleg Kev, the wrestler was asked if he would accept an offer from AEW if WWE took too long to call him up. His answer was direct: his “heart is with the E.”

Fatu also said he doesn’t want to break his family’s cycle, since most of the Samoan bloodline built their legacy within WWE. He also pointed out that he still has unfinished business tied to his father’s legacy.

Umaga had a memorable run with the company, winning the Intercontinental Championship twice and having rivalries against names like John Cena, Jeff Hardy, and CM Punk.

In recent years, Zilla has been making a name for himself on the independent circuit, mainly in Reality of Wrestling, Booker T’s promotion in Houston. Booker himself has said that Fatu has the tools to become a global pro-wrestling star.

It’s worth remembering that Reality of Wrestling now has a direct connection to WWE ID, a program created to identify and develop independent talent, strengthening the bridge between WWE and up-and-coming prospects on the indie scene.

So, while there’s still no official confirmation of a signing, Fatu has already made his goal public. AEW, at least for now, doesn’t seem to be part of his plans.
