Tiffany Stratton is set for a major match at WWE Night of Champions. On this week’s Friday Night SmackDown, the reigning Women’s United States Champion accepted a challenge from Jade Cargill.
The confirmation came during a backstage interview with Cathy Kelley. Asked about Cargill’s comments, Stratton did not back down and made it clear that she will be at WWE’s next Premium Live Event.
With that, Stratton will put the Women’s United States Championship on the line at Night of Champions, which takes place Saturday, June 27, at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The rivalry between the two had been gaining momentum in recent weeks. On last week’s SmackDown, Stratton teamed with Chelsea Green against B-Fab and Michin, but Cargill’s presence ended up playing a decisive role in the match’s outcome.
After the match, Stratton was attacked by Jade, Michin, and B-Fab. Since then, there had been an expectation that WWE would turn the conflict into a title match at the next Saudi Arabia event.
Stratton won the Women’s United States Championship by defeating Giulia, beginning her first reign with the title.
Jade, meanwhile, is looking to get back into the title picture after losing the WWE Women’s Championship to Rhea Ripley at WrestleMania 42.
