TNA could be moving toward adding a new championship for its women’s division, giving the Knockouts even more space on the company’s weekly programming.
According to Fightful Select, the company has discussed creating a new title, with the current idea being a women’s midcard championship. A women’s tournament is also planned for July, though it is not fully clear whether it would be used to crown the first champion.
As of now, TNA has not officially announced a name for the potential title or revealed how it would fit within the division. For now, the word is that the idea has been pitched backstage and could make its way to programming in the near future.

TNA currently has two active women’s titles. Léi Yǐng Lee is the reigning TNA Knockouts World Champion, while The Elegance Brand holds the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship.
The timing is notable, as the women’s division will have a major presence at Slammiversary, which takes place June 28 at Agganis Arena in Boston. Léi Yǐng Lee will defend the TNA Knockouts World Championship against Xia Brookside, while Heather by Elegance and M by Elegance will put the Knockouts World Tag Team Championship on the line against Allie and Rosemary.
If approved, the new title would become the third active women’s championship in TNA, creating another path for names who are not directly involved in the main Knockouts title picture.
