TNA could have a major surprise in store for Slammiversary this Sunday in Boston, Massachusetts. The event will take place at Agganis Arena, with Mike Santana defending the TNA World Championship against Nic Nemeth in the main event.
According to PWInsider, the company is planning the debut of a former WWE Superstar at the pay-per-view. The name has not been revealed, but Mike Johnson reported that the wrestler is someone who won singles titles multiple times during his WWE run.
There is no confirmation yet on what role that name will have on the show. However, the card does have one notable opening, as Mustafa Ali will defend the TNA International Championship in an Open Challenge.
A former ‘multi-singles WWE Champion’ is reportedly expected to make their TNA debut at ‘SLAMMIVERSARY’ 2026 this Sunday.

Slammiversary will also feature an Ultimate X match for the X-Division Championship, with Cedric Alexander defending the title against Leon Slater, Frankie Kazarian, Mr. Elegance, KC Navarro, Fabian Aichner, and Amazing Red, who will wrestle his first TNA match since 2011.
The timing is also important backstage. TNA is coming off a turbulent week marked by internal cuts and the departures of Tommy Dreamer and Sami Callihan, both of whom had been working behind the scenes for the company.
Despite that, expectations for the event remain positive. According to WrestleTix, 1,985 tickets have already been distributed for Slammiversary, with the arena’s current setup allowing for 2,905 fans and room to expand if demand increases.
