Top Favorites to Win the 2026 WWE Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

The Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Saturday, October 10, in New Orleans could change the course of WWE. Six men will compete for the briefcase at the Smoothie King Center, but only three stand out as serious contenders.

The main factor in these rankings is how much a win would help each entrant reach the top of WWE. Each man’s current standing and whatever creative may have in mind for him also play a role.

6 – Je’Von Evans

Evans earned his spot in September by defeating Austin Theory and Big Cass. On Monday’s RAW, Evans also beat Theory in a tag team match.

Evans continues to improve, but giving him the briefcase now could fast-track a rise that WWE can still afford to build over time. He is the biggest underdog of the six, although he is one of the best equipped to impress during the match.

    5 – Trick Williams

Williams, the reigning United States Champion, earned his spot by beating Randy Orton and Rey Fenix, showing that he can already hold his own against established names.

Still, there is room for Williams to grow as champion. A win would be an intriguing outcome, but it is hardly necessary at this point.

      4 – CM Punk

Punk won the Money in the Bank Ladder Match in 2008 and 2009. A third win would be unprecedented and would add another highlight to his career.

Beating Gunther and Finn Bálor to qualify shows that Punk remains highly competitive. That said, Punk has enough credibility to challenge for any world title without needing the briefcase.

        3 – Kevin Owens

Owens may have the most compelling story of anyone in the field for a future cash-in.

In September, Owens came close to beating Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship, but Punk interfered and cost Owens the win.

Holding the contract would let Owens pick that feud back up whenever he pleased. The catch is that his story with Zayn already works without the briefcase.

          2 – Penta

Penta surprised a lot of people in September when he pushed Roman Reigns to the limit in a World Heavyweight Championship match in Mexico City.

Penta lost, but he showed the potential to move even further up the card.

Winning the briefcase would give him a chance to make up for that loss and secure his place among WWE’s top names for good.

            1 – Bron Breakker

Breakker is the favorite in the latest betting odds published by Fightful, ahead of Penta and Owens.

Already a World Tag Team Champion with Theory and a featured member of The Vision, Breakker is still chasing a big singles breakthrough on the main roster.

The briefcase would let WWE build toward that breakthrough without rushing Breakker into a world title match. That is why he is the pick to win in New Orleans.
