WWE reportedly has not made a final decision on this year’s King of the Ring winner, even though the tournament is already underway on the company’s weekly programming.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, at least three wrestlers have been discussed internally as possible tournament winners. Those names were also reportedly placed strategically in the bracket so any of them could advance to the final.
The note stands out because King of the Ring has taken on more importance again within WWE. This year, the winner will earn a world title opportunity at SummerSlam, which takes place August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
The tournament final will be held at Night of Champions on June 27 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

So far, Oba Femi is the only confirmed semifinalist. On this week’s Monday Night RAW, he defeated Penta, Solo Sikoa, and Carmelo Hayes in a Fatal 4-Way Match to move forward in the tournament.
On the other side of the bracket, names such as Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker, Jey Uso, LA Knight, Finn Bálor, Trick Williams, Dominik Mysterio, and Damian Priest remain alive in the tournament.
Interestingly, the betting market reflects that uncertainty as well. Rollins and Femi are listed as the top favorites, with Breakker right behind them, reinforcing the idea that WWE has more than one possible direction for the tournament.
The question now is whether WWE will use King of the Ring to establish Oba Femi as an immediate challenger, put Rollins back on a path toward Roman Reigns, or further accelerate Bron Breakker’s rise to the top of WWE.
