Triple H has opened up again about the challenge of leading WWE creative at a time when the company is dealing with an increasingly divided audience.
During a recent interview with Stephen A. Smith, WWE’s Chief Content Officer said the biggest difficulty of his role is figuring out, in real time, what fans actually want to see on television.
“It’s difficult. I think the hardest thing in the world is to keep your finger on the pulse of what people are looking for.”
Levesque explained that, from the start of a wrestler’s career, everything in WWE revolves around the audience’s reaction. According to him, the goal has always been to make fans boo, cheer, or become emotionally invested in what is happening in the ring.
“Our job, everything about it is to engage with those fans. I do think we do it well.”
Triple H officially serves as WWE’s Chief Content Officer, overseeing Creative Writing, Talent Relations, Live Events, Talent Development, and Creative Services.
The comments come as WWE continues to expand its reach, running shows in different parts of the world.
