Add as a preferred source on Google WWE has lost one of the top executives in Triple H’s inner circle outside of creative. Patrick Dooley quietly left the company in late July after nearly eight years working on strategic projects and WWE’s international expansion.
According to PWInsider’s Mike Johnson, Dooley was viewed internally as something of a “number two” to Paul “Triple H” Levesque on matters that didn’t directly involve creative.
Dooley joined WWE in December 2018 as Director of Global Strategy. He was later promoted to Senior Director, then Vice President of Global Strategy and Corporate Development, and ultimately Senior Vice President of Global Strategy & Creative Operations.
One of the most significant projects of his tenure was the acquisition of AAA. When the deal was announced in April 2025, Triple H publicly thanked Dooley and Kevin Rohnke for their work on the deal.
Dooley was also involved in the Mexican promotion’s commercial expansion. In November, he represented WWE at the announcement of the deal that brought AAA events to FOX in Mexico, Central America and nearly all of South America.
He was also involved in NXT’s return to Full Sail University in September 2025, taking part in a panel on WWE’s international growth and adapting the product for new markets.
