Rumors about Johnny Gargano’s potential departure from WWE surfaced on Sunday, August 23, after fans noticed details on his official X profile.
What drew the most attention was the lack of any WWE mention in his bio, which currently lists him simply as a pro wrestler and includes a booking contact.
Some outlets picked up on the story, treating the bio as a recent change and a possible sign that Gargano was on his way out of WWE.
That’s not the case, however. Wrestling Noticias has confirmed that Gargano has not made any recent changes to his profile. His bio has read the same way for years, including during the stretch he spent away from WWE between 2021 and 2022.
In February 2022, when Gargano was actually a free agent, he publicly shared the same booking email that currently appears in his bio to field appearance offers and other business inquiries.
Gargano had left WWE after his contract expired in December 2021, opting to step away and spend more time with Candice LeRae and the couple’s newborn son.
As of now, there is no concrete evidence that Johnny Gargano is leaving WWE.
