CM Punk appears to be becoming a bigger part of the Friday Night SmackDown schedule after winning the Undisputed WWE Championship on Monday Night RAW in Chicago.
WWE is now advertising Punk for every upcoming SmackDown episode currently listed on its official website. The first is set for this Friday, July 10, at the Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, where he is listed alongside names such as Cody Rhodes, Oba Femi, Jade Cargill, Tiffany Stratton, and Gunther.
Punk is also listed for the July 17 show in Albany, the July 24 show in Oakland, and the July 31 show in Green Bay. The new champion also appears on later SmackDown dates, including Toronto and the September 11 episode at Arena CDMX in Mexico City.

WWE has also advertised Punk for both live events this weekend in New Mexico. He is listed for Saturday’s WWE Summer Tour stop on July 11 at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, as well as Sunday’s show on July 12 at The Pit in Albuquerque.
While being advertised on WWE event pages does not confirm an official brand switch, the move further suggests Punk is set to play a major role on the blue brand during the Road to SummerSlam.
Backstage, the expectation is that Punk will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam, which takes place August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
