This Monday’s Monday Night RAW, live from Accor Arena in Paris, received a major update just hours before the show airs live on Netflix. In a video posted on social media, Adam Pearce confirmed that Oba Femi will open the show, while also announcing Sol Ruca vs. Lyra Valkyria for the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Championship.
Ruca will make her first defense since defeating Becky Lynch at Clash in Italy in Turin to win the title for the first time. Lyra, meanwhile, immediately got back into the title picture after making it clear on last week’s Raw that she wanted to become champion for a second time.
Oba Femi’s presence in the opening segment also stands out given where he is right now. Last week, he defeated Solo Sikoa, Penta, and Carmelo Hayes in a Fatal 4-Way Match, advancing in the King of the Ring tournament shortly after his loss to Brock Lesnar at Clash in Italy.
Along with Sol Ruca’s new title defense, the show will feature another championship match. Penta will put the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Rey Mysterio in a match announced by the champion himself on social media.
A new match and opening segment have been announced for Monday’s WWE Raw, with Adam Pearce revealing updated plans for the show in Paris.

Raw will also continue the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments. On the men’s side, Seth Rollins, Je’Von Evans, Ricky Saints, and Talla Tonga will battle for a spot in the semifinals, while Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Alexa Bliss, and Chelsea Green will compete in the women’s Fatal 4-Way. The tournament winners will earn world title opportunities at SummerSlam.
WWE is also advertising Seth Rollins, Liv Morgan, Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Becky Lynch, Bron Breakker, Austin Theory, and Penta among the featured names for the event in Paris. In the United States, the show will air at a special start time of 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT on Netflix.
The question now is whether Oba Femi’s opening segment will simply be another promo following his King of the Ring qualification, or whether WWE will use it to move him even closer to Brock Lesnar, which remains one of the most talked-about directions for the summer.
