WWE Approved Controversial Becky Lynch Line Cut From Raw Replay by Netflix

WWE and Triple H approved Lynch's Liv Morgan line before Raw aired; Netflix later removed it from the replay.

WWE Approved Controversial Becky Lynch Line Cut From Raw Replay by Netflix

Becky Lynch’s shot at Liv Morgan on this week’s Raw was not an ad-lib.

Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Newsletter that the line was in the script and that Paul “Triple H” Levesque and others in production knew about it before the broadcast.

Lynch returned on the August 3 Raw in Des Moines, Iowa, after nearly two months away, confronting Morgan, Raquel Rodriguez, and Roxanne Perez.

Meltzer said:

“From what we were told, the line was not Lynch going impromptu as it was on the script and Levesque and others knew about it before she said it.”

The line came when Lynch went after Morgan, saying she was not even the greatest women’s champion to have slept with Dominik Mysterio. It aired during the live broadcast but was later cut from the Netflix replay.

Meltzer’s report rules out the idea that Netflix pulled the line simply because Lynch went off script without WWE approval.

There’s been no official explanation for the edit. Netflix has made other recent changes to Raw replays, including censoring blood and language during Brock Lesnar segments.
