WWE has seen a huge rebound in ticket sales for this week’s Friday Night SmackDown. The August 21 episode at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto is on the verge of a sellout.
According to the latest WrestleTix update, 14,044 tickets have been distributed for the show. The current arena setup holds 14,543, leaving just 499 seats remaining. A full sellout by bell time looks like a very real possibility.
That figure is even more impressive stacked against the blue brand’s recent numbers. Three weeks ago, on July 31, the SmackDown in Green Bay had only 4,566 tickets distributed. The August 7 episode in Philadelphia reached 9,138, while last Friday’s show in Boston came in at 7,786.
The show is likely going to sell out.
WWE has increased ticket sales by a significant margin over the past 3 weeks. SmackDown a few weeks ago was barely getting 5,000 in attendance.

Toronto had already been tracking well above average, though. Back on June 20, with two months still to go, WrestleTix had 8,222 tickets distributed for the event. Nearly 6,000 additional seats have moved since then.
The card is a major factor driving the demand. CM Punk will defend the WWE Championship against Kevin Owens in a feud that has picked up significant steam over the past two weeks.
