WWE is seriously concerned about staging Crown Jewel. The premium live event is scheduled for November 7 at Riyadh Season Stadium at KAFD in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, concern inside the company has grown in recent days and has spread to backstage staff and employees at WWE headquarters. Some people who regularly travel to the company’s events in Saudi Arabia are also said to be asking whether the plans could change.
“There is a large concern within WWE regarding the Crown Jewel situation in Saudi Arabia,” the report said.
The main reason for the concern is the U.S. State Department’s current travel advisory for Saudi Arabia. The country is at Level 3, which urges U.S. citizens to reconsider travel there due in part to the risk of Iranian drone and missile attacks targeting American interests.
“Reconsider travel to Saudi Arabia due to risk of Iranian drone and missile targeting of American interests,” the advisory reads.
Fightful previously reported that WWE intends to keep Crown Jewel on November 7 regardless of where the event is held, because of the company’s commitment to ESPN.
The situation is even more significant because WWE’s partnership with Saudi Arabia continues to grow. WrestleMania 43 is set for Riyadh in 2027 and will be the first WrestleMania held outside North America.
WWE has not announced any changes to Crown Jewel so far. With a little more than a month to go before the show, however, the situation is no longer just an internal discussion and is considered a major concern within the company.
