WWE is pressing ahead with its plans to hold WrestleMania 43 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, despite the current security situation in the Middle East.
Saudi government representatives visited WWE headquarters in Stamford early this month to discuss the event and all of the logistics involved in staging the company’s biggest show, according to PWInsider.
WWE also plans to work directly with private security experts hired for the region. A contingency plan will be put together in case any changes need to be made, as is done for other events held in the country.
WrestleMania 43 was officially announced in September 2025 and will mark the first time the event is held outside North America. WWE has confirmed that the show will take place in April 2027 and will remain a two-night event.
The situation surrounding Crown Jewel, however, is considered urgent. The show is set for November 7 at Riyadh Season Stadium at KAFD. The U.S. State Department maintains a Level 3 travel advisory for Saudi Arabia, recommending that Americans reconsider travel to the country because of the risk of armed conflict, terrorism, and possible Iranian drone and missile attacks against U.S. interests.
In recent days, concern has grown within WWE about running Crown Jewel. People who typically travel to the company’s Saudi events have started asking about possible changes, although none has been officially announced. WWE has a commitment to ESPN to put on a premium live event on November 7, regardless of where it is held.
Rumors have surfaced that locations in the United States have already been lined up as alternatives for WrestleMania 43.
For now, Riyadh remains the event’s official host city.
