According to WWE itself, Cody Rhodes vs. Gunther for the Undisputed WWE Championship and Rhea Ripley vs. Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship will be the first two matches of the PLE.
Clash in Italy will take place on Sunday, May 31, from the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy. The event will begin at 2 p.m. ET / 11 a.m. PT, streaming on the ESPN App through the ESPN Unlimited plan.
The move continues WWE’s recent strategy of using traditional TV to help drive interest in its major events.
For Rhodes and Gunther, the rivalry picked up after the Austrian attacked the Undisputed WWE Champion on SmackDown and later officially earned his spot in the match in Turin.
Ripley and Cargill, meanwhile, will meet in a WrestleMania 42 rematch.
