WWE is facing widespread criticism on social media after LA Knight lost to Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank on Saturday.

The match, which opened the premium live event, ended with Reigns hitting a Superman Punch followed by a Spear to retain the World Heavyweight Championship.

The result, however, drew outrage from fans, who aimed their complaints at Triple H, WWE’s head of creative.

On X, one fan shared footage of Triple H reprimanding LA Knight backstage last year, a scene that was shown at the time on the Netflix series WWE: Unreal.

“Triple H problem with LA Knight needs to be studied.”

Another fan who was particularly upset with the result replied to WWE’s official account.

“LA Knight should have won this match, Triple H has loss his damn mind. I am so damn tired of Roman, he does not need the title.”

The criticism did not stop there. Another fan wrote.

“I think that’s what’s lame tho WWE has failed with their unpredictably + triple H just does not like LA Knight for some odd reason”

Knight’s performance in the match added to the frustration over the result. He came very close to winning after hitting a Burning Hammer, a BFT, and even a powerbomb onto the announce table.

Knight is still chasing his first world championship in WWE. His feud with Reigns resumed in September, when Knight attacked Reigns after Reigns’ match against Penta.
