3 Reasons to Believe LA Knight Will Defeat Roman Reigns at WWE Money in the Bank

LA Knight’s next shot at his first WWE world title comes October 10 in New Orleans, when he challenges Roman Reigns at Money in the Bank.

Reigns goes in as the favorite, though there are reasons to believe a major upset is possible. Knight’s rapid rise as early as 2023, but three years later, his crowning moment has yet to arrive.

Here are three reasons WWE could finally give Knight the win.

3 – WWE Has Made Knight Wait Long Enough

From 2023 to 2025, Knight competed in the Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match every year but never came away with the briefcase.

Knight’s first WWE title came in 2024, when he beat Logan Paul for the United States Championship at SummerSlam. The leap to the top of the card, however, never really came.

At 43, Knight is still a popular act, and making him wait again for a world title could mean wasting an opportunity WWE has been building toward for three years.

2 – LA Knight Has Come Within Inches of Beating Roman Reigns Before

At Crown Jewel 2023, Knight nearly beat Reigns with the BFT, but Jimmy Uso put Reigns’ foot on the ropes to stop the count.

Knight went on to lose, leaving the two men with unfinished business.

On September 14, Knight once again dropped Reigns with his finisher, right after Reigns beat Penta on Raw.

A win now would give the feud a different ending, and this time Knight could claim what The Bloodline’s interference took from him in 2023.

1 – Roman Reigns Has Bigger Problems Than His Title

The Bloodline is locked in a new war with The 946, and the fighting between the two factions over the past few weeks has seen Solo Sikoa abducted and Jacob Fatu run over.

Reigns is also struggling to reassert his authority over his family, just as Knight is questioning how much Reigns depends on his relatives.

A loss at Money in the Bank would free Reigns to focus on that feud and put Knight at the center of the world title picture.

Reigns has proven he can carry major storylines without a title, while Knight still has to show he can be WWE’s top champion.

A Knight win still looks unlikely, largely because of both men’s recent track records, but booking it would be the kind of decision that could reshape the entire Raw landscape.
