WWE is reportedly working toward bringing WrestleMania 44 to Nashville in 2028.
According to WrestleVotes on Fightful Select, WWE is in active negotiations with the city of Nashville, Tennessee about potentially holding the event there. The show would take place at the new Nissan Stadium if a deal is finalized.
Bryan Alvarez previously reported that Nashville had submitted a $3.5 million bid plus tax breaks to host WrestleMania in 2028. WWE President Nick Khan also teased the 2028 location during a company town hall, saying, “Wait until you hear the announcement on where we’re going to be for WrestleMania in 2028.”
The new Nissan Stadium is expected to open in 2027 and is being built on the east side of the current Nissan Stadium. The venue will be enclosed, will not have a retractable roof, and has been promoted by the Titans as being capable of hosting major events including Super Bowls, Final Fours and WrestleMania.
Nashville had already been in the mix for WrestleMania 43 before WWE announced that the 2027 show would be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Local tourism officials told FOX17 News that the Nashville date “didn’t work out,” but that they were looking at future years.
WWE officially announced last September that WrestleMania 43 will take place in Riyadh in 2027, making WrestleMania 44 the next available U.S.-based edition of the event. WWE also noted at the time that WrestleMania has generated more than $1.5 billion in cumulative economic impact for host cities over the last decade.
As of now, WWE has not officially announced the host city for WrestleMania 44.
