Finn Bálor is no longer part of WWE RAW. The Irish star was officially moved to SmackDown during Monday’s show at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy.
The announcement was made during a commercial break, as Byron Saxton was speaking with Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. Bálor was said to have been traded to the blue brand, though no details were revealed about any possible compensation in the move.
The change had already been teased earlier. When the King of the Ring bracket was revealed, Bálor was listed as a SmackDown Superstar before any official announcement had been made.
The men’s tournament kicks off this week, with the finals set for Night of Champions on June 27. The winner will earn a world title shot at SummerSlam in August.
Bálor will face Royce Keys, LA Knight, and Jey Uso in the opening round, with the match set to take place on SmackDown later this week.
