Chad Gable, who was away from WWE programming for more than seven months after suffering a shoulder injury in 2025, has announced a new documentary series about his recovery.

The project, titled The Renewal, will feature nine episodes and begin rolling out this Friday, with new chapters released weekly.

On social media, Gable said the series will follow his recovery from the very beginning, covering rehab, training, nutrition, setbacks, and small wins along the way.

The injury came during a strong stretch for Gable, who had been appearing as the leader of American Made and as the first El Grande Americano. Before being sidelined, he faced Rey Fenix at WrestleMania 41 in his first singles match at the event.

Gable underwent surgery in early July after WWE wrote him off television through an attack by Penta on RAW. The injury was later described as a rotator cuff issue.

During his absence, Ludwig Kaiser took over the El Grande Americano role and also began appearing in AAA, where the character gained significant momentum. Gable returned at January’s Royal Rumble as the Original El Grande Americano.
