WWE could be expanding its relationship with Disney even further. According to WrestleVotes Radio, via Fightful Select, WWE’s interest in working with Disney predates its current deal with ESPN.
One of the locations discussed is the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Florida. The venue has reportedly been considered as a possible site for WWE events and bigger fan experiences.
The report gained more traction after TKO president and COO Mark Shapiro confirmed WWE is already working with Disney on special events for 2027. According to Shapiro, the goal is to bring the two companies’ audiences closer together, especially since both brands have a strong presence with families.
WWE’s relationship with Disney already runs directly through ESPN. The broadcast partnership began on September 20, 2025, with Wrestlepalooza, making ESPN the exclusive home for WWE’s premium live events in the United States.
ESPN Wide World of Sports also offers considerable infrastructure for that kind of project. The complex spans about 220 acres and includes a 9,500-seat stadium, an indoor arena and several other venues built for different sports.
WWE has also been expanding its experiences outside traditional arenas. The company recently announced fan events and attractions in New York during WrestleMania 43 weekend, including watch parties in partnership with Fanatics.
So far, though, that’s not confirmed. No WWE event at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex has been officially announced.
