Last Sunday’s AEW All In: London at Wembley Stadium made waves inside WWE. The show closed with Will Ospreay defeating Kenny Omega to win the AEW World Championship in front of nearly 50,000 fans.
During a Q&A session, JoeyVotes of WrestleVotes noted that plenty of WWE talent and staff keep tabs on the competition, particularly around major events like All In.
“They certainly are aware of what’s going on. A lot of the roster and people that work there pay attention to what AEW does, especially big-time shows like yesterday. So they’re aware of how successful All In was.”
“Are they gonna reschedule things or organize their shows in the future because AEW had a great show? No. But on the flip side, they are 110% aware of what AEW does.”
TC added that any meaningful reaction from WWE would likely only come if AEW manages to turn this moment into sustained momentum and, more importantly, begins cutting into WWE’s business directly.
“It’s not immediate either. If WWE’s business dips and AEW gets momentum and fans are leaving WWE to watch AEW, then yeah, there will be that effect.”
Notably, the two promotions were competing for attention on the same day. While AEW ran All In in London, NXT Heatwave took place in Edinburg, Texas.
