Phoenix is expected to host a new edition of the WWE Royal Rumble in the coming years, as part of a deal between TKO Group Holdings and the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance.
The partnership was officially announced on Tuesday, May 12, and includes seven major TKO events in Arizona over the next three years, involving WWE, UFC, PBR, and Zuffa Boxing.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, three of those events would be WWE shows: a Survivor Series, a Royal Rumble, and a Saturday Night’s Main Event. So far, however, WWE has not confirmed dates, venues, or the order in which those events will take place.
Phoenix, Arizona will be hosting a Royal Rumble in a future year as part of TKO’s new agreement with the Arizona Sports & Events Alliance.

It’s worth pointing out that Phoenix already hosted the Royal Rumble in 2019, when the event was held at Chase Field. At the time, WWE noted that it was the first time the special had taken place inside a baseball stadium.
Arizona has also hosted WrestleMania XXVI in 2010 at what is now State Farm Stadium, showing that the market remains one of the most important for major company events in the United States.
It remains to be seen whether the Royal Rumble will be the first major WWE event included in this new deal or if the company will kick off the partnership with Survivor Series.
