Tatum Paxley’s first match on WWE SmackDown now has a date. WWE announced that the former NXT champion will face Michin on the August 28 episode.
The match was made official after a backstage segment on this Friday’s show, where Jade Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin confronted Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Paxley. During the exchange, Michin challenged Paxley to a match the following week, and Paxley accepted immediately.
While Paxley has yet to wrestle on SmackDown, she made her official blue brand debut on August 7. She ran in during the Flair vs. Cargill match, taking out Michin and B-Fab with a crossbody to help Charlotte pick up the win. Since then, she has been appearing alongside Flair and Bliss in backstage segments.
This won’t be the first time Paxley and Michin have squared off in WWE. The two met on NXT on May 28, 2024, in a qualifying match for the Ladder Match to crown the inaugural NXT Women’s North American Champion. Michin won that bout.
Paxley heads to SmackDown having held both of NXT’s top individual women’s titles. She captured the NXT Women’s Championship in 2025 and added the NXT Women’s North American Championship by defeating Izzi Dame at Vengeance Day on March 7, 2026.
