Tatum Paxley picked up a win in her in-ring debut on WWE SmackDown.
The former NXT Women’s Champion defeated Michin on Friday’s episode, which was taped on Monday, August 24 at the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.
With Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss by her side, Paxley put Michin away by hitting the Cemetery Drive to finish the match.
Although Friday marked her first in-ring appearance on the blue brand, Paxley had already shown up on SmackDown back on August 7. During that episode, she got involved in the Charlotte Flair vs. Jade Cargill bout, taking out Michin and B-Fab to help Flair pick up the win.
The feud escalated on last week’s SmackDown when Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab confronted Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Tatum Paxley backstage. Michin challenged Paxley to a match, and the former NXT champion accepted on the spot.
Paxley already has her next big test lined up. During Friday’s show, a six-woman tag team match was confirmed for Sunday Night’s Main Event on September 6, pitting Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, and Tatum Paxley against Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab.
