Money in the Bank takes place October 10 in New Orleans, and the qualifying matches begin next week. WWE has yet to confirm the participants, but a few names already look like natural candidates for the contract, which guarantees a future world title shot.
Here are five wrestlers who could win the Men’s Money in the Bank ladder match in 2026.
5 – Drew McIntyre
Drew McIntyre won the match in 2024 but lost the contract that same night after CM Punk interfered. Currently off television because of commitments outside WWE, McIntyre has already returned to the United States, though the company is still working out how to bring him back into storylines.
Another win would be a quick way to recover the relevance he lost after his short run as WWE Champion, which ended before WrestleMania 42.
4 – Gunther
Gunther remains in the WWE Championship picture after competing in the recent match to determine CM Punk’s next challenger. Before that, he beat Nick Aldis at SummerSlam and kept his standing as one of the most dangerous names on the roster.
The contract would be an interesting weapon for a wrestler who usually prefers to earn his opportunities in the ring. The change would also add a new layer to his current “Career Killer” character.
3 – Royce Keys
Royce Keys returned to Monday Night RAW alongside OTM and destroyed The Usos, LA Knight and Solo Sikoa. WWE has made clear it has big plans for the former Powerhouse Hobbs.
An unexpected win would put Keys in the main event picture right away, especially with the option of having Bronco Nima and Lucien Price help him during the match.
2 – Trick Williams
Trick Williams’ presence in the Money in the Bank promotional material indicates he should be part of the qualifiers. After winning the United States Championship at WrestleMania 42 and losing the title to Baron Corbin at SummerSlam, Trick needs a new goal.
The contract would confirm that WWE sees him as a future world champion.
1 – Solo Sikoa
Solo Sikoa competed in Money in the Bank in 2025 and remains directly involved in The Bloodline’s problems. His story with Roman Reigns still has plenty of room for new chapters.
With Reigns once again World Heavyweight Champion, Solo holding the contract would create a permanent threat to the Tribal Chief. Of all the candidates, he offers the best storyline after a win.
