Adam Copeland may have more time left in AEW than he originally expected, as the wrestler himself admitted he does not know when his contract with the company will expire.

In a recent interview with ClutchPoints, Copeland explained that AEW has been adding time to his deal whenever he has to miss time due to injuries or commitments outside the ring.

The “Rated-R Superstar” pointed to the broken leg he suffered at Double or Nothing 2024, along with filming for The Beekeeper 2 and Percy Jackson, as reasons for those extensions.

“I broke my leg, so there’s injury time added, and I had to go film Beekeeper 2 and Percy Jackson, so that’s added. Anytime I have to take a break, that gets added on the back end. I’m not even sure when it’s up.”

The revelation comes just days before this Sunday’s Double or Nothing, which will take place at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York, with the show airing on pay-per-view and HBO Max.

At the event, Copeland and Christian Cage will face FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) for the AEW World Tag Team Championship in a New York Street Fight I Quit Match. If Copeland and Cage lose, they will no longer be allowed to compete as a team.

Copeland joined AEW in October 2023 and had previously indicated in an earlier interview that his contract would expire in 2027. Now, with additional time being added, the exact end of his AEW run remains unclear.
