Nia Jax will get another chance to secure her spot in the Ladder Match for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship at SummerSlam.

Adam Pearce made the announcement during SmackDown, saying Jax will face Charlotte Flair on the July 24 episode of the show at Oakland Arena in Oakland, California. The winner will advance to the five-way match set for August 1-2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.

The decision came after Jax’s qualifying match against Jade Cargill wrapped up on this week’s SmackDown. Flair showed up during the match, attacked B-Fab and Michin, then hit Cargill, causing a disqualification and ending the bout.

Charlotte was looking for payback over the attack on Alexa Bliss last week. After the match, Jax attacked Flair and left the ring, while Cargill hit Flair with the Jaded.

Later, Jax and Lash Legend confronted Adam Pearce backstage. The former WWE Women’s Champion said she had been wronged, prompting Pearce to grant her another chance, this time against Flair herself.

So far, the match is the only one announced for next week’s episode of SmackDown.
