Charlotte Flair and Chelsea Green are officially confirmed for the Interim WWE Women’s Championship Ladder Match, set for night one of SummerSlam on August 1, 2026, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
The two punched their tickets on the July 24 episode of SmackDown, held at Oakland Arena in Oakland, California. Green beat Kiana James after hitting the Unpretty-Her, then pinning James for the win.
Flair, meanwhile, beat Nia Jax by disqualification in the night’s second qualifying match, after Cargill attacked Flair.
The clash was a consequence of last week’s events. Charlotte attacked Cargill during her match against Jax and ended up handing Cargill a win by disqualification, which secured Cargill’s own spot in the SummerSlam match.
Before facing Jax, Flair said she didn’t regret the interference, explaining she was only thinking about Alexa Bliss, who has been sidelined since being attacked by Cargill.
With that, four of the five participants are set: Charlotte Flair, Chelsea Green, Jade Cargill and current WWE Women’s United States Champion Tiffany Stratton. The final spot has yet to be filled.
The interim title was created because Rhea Ripley won’t be cleared in time for SummerSlam.
