AEW used Wednesday’s Dynamite from Sugar Land, Texas, to further build the card for Forbidden Door, which will take place on June 28 at SAP Center in San Jose, California.

The biggest announcement involved Jon Moxley, who will put the AEW Continental Championship on the line against Bandido. The challenge came after Brodido, the team of Bandido and Brody King, defeated the Death Riders team of Moxley and Daniel Garcia.

Bandido scored the pinfall on Garcia, picking up a major win over the group led by Moxley. Right after that, the reigning ROH World Champion challenged Moxley to a match at the pay-per-view.

Moxley accepted, but made it clear that the match will be held under Continental Championship rules, meaning no Brody King, no Death Riders, and no outside interference.

AEW also confirmed that Adam Copeland and Christian Cage will face The Dogs, the team of David Finlay and Clark Connors, continuing the issues that started after Copeland and Cage won the AEW World Tag Team Championship at Double or Nothing.

On Dynamite, Copeland and Cage attacked Finlay and Connors, with Christian then grabbing the microphone to issue the challenge for Forbidden Door.

Along with those matches, Forbidden Door already features several major attractions, including the men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament final between Will Ospreay and Swerve Strickland, as well as Kenny Omega against Zack Sabre Jr.
