Tony Khan did not rule out the possibility of AEW running a major event in the United States during WrestleMania 43 weekend.
Khan made the comments after AEW Double or Nothing, which took place Sunday at Louis Armstrong Stadium in Queens, New York, during the company’s traditional post-show media scrum.
When reminded that there will not be a major domestic wrestling weekend in April, Khan gave a brief but suggestive response:
“Yet…”
The AEW President then said the idea could be viable, though it would still depend on several factors between now and then.
“I think it is potentially viable. And it’s a very interesting thought. We’ll have to see what happens in the world landscape between now and then, but it’s a very interesting possibility.”

The context is WrestleMania 43, which will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, in 2027. It will be the first edition of the Showcase of the Immortals held outside the United States and Canada.
That could give AEW a rare opening on the North American wrestling calendar, as WrestleMania week usually brings together independent events, conventions, and shows from several promotions across the United States.
Khan has also recently shown interest in adding another pay-per-view to AEW’s calendar, with the possibility of a new July 2026 event being discussed publicly.

For now, however, AEW has not announced any official plans for April 2027.
