Ronda Rousey may have once again wrapped up her MMA run, but Tony Khan made it clear that AEW’s door remains open for the former UFC champion.
Khan made the comments during the AEW Double or Nothing media call, just days after Rousey defeated Gina Carano in only 17 seconds in a Netflix-streamed fight from Inglewood, California.
Khan said he enjoyed working with Rousey in Ring of Honor, as well as having her appear at AEW Revolution in March at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
“I’ve enjoyed working with her in Ring of Honor and having her at AEW Revolution. Anytime she wants to come back to AEW, she’s welcome.”
“I would love to have her anytime when she’s available to fight in AEW. She’s one of the great names in combat sports and someone who is a great presence anytime she is here in AEW.”
Rousey appeared at Revolution after Toni Storm’s win over Marina Shafir, coming face-to-face with Storm before Shafir attacked her from behind.
