Add as a preferred source on Google AJ Styles once again criticized the attitude of some WWE fans on social media, especially those who complain about practically every storyline the company puts out.
During Phenomenally Retro, the “Phenomenal One” said that many fans have a hard time just enjoying the programming, immediately calling any story “stupid” before it even has a chance to develop.
“Can we just say this? For all the things that the internet was—’God, that’s stupid. That’s a dumb storyline.’ Can you not appreciate this one? ‘This one makes you laugh. This is good.’ Can we not brag on this one? ”Cause I’m entertained. Yes.'”
“There is good stuff. You can complain. We can cry and complain about all the things that are wrong. And listen, it’s never going to be right. Not everybody’s gonna love it all at the same time. There’ll always be something.”
The comments follow a stance Styles has been taking over the past few months. Back in March, he also called out the tribalism among WWE, AEW, and other promotions’ fans, saying that the audience should just enjoy the large amount of wrestling available right now.
It’s worth noting that Styles is in a new chapter of his WWE run. After wrapping up his in-ring career, he was inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026 and has taken on backstage roles.
