According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, Lee’s creative is considered finished for the time being. There is said to be hope within WWE that she will be back for future programs and matches, with SummerSlam among the ideas that have been discussed, although nothing is formally in place right now.
Lee’s latest run wrapped up with her Women’s Intercontinental Championship loss to Becky Lynch at WrestleMania 42 night one. Lynch defeated Lee to win back the title after sending her into an exposed turnbuckle and following up with the Man-handle Slam.
After the match, Lee appeared on the WrestleMania 42 post-show and said she needed to be checked by WWE doctors before figuring out what comes next. She also made clear that she was not treating it as a full goodbye, saying she hoped to see fans again soon.
Lee later posted a message on Instagram thanking Becky Lynch, Jessika Carr, Bayley, Roxanne Perez, Lyra Valkyria, Paige and the women’s locker room. She also called her WrestleMania entrance a “love letter” to the AJ Leegion and ended the post with “Stay weird, see you soon.”
Her return to WWE began last September when she teamed with CM Punk against Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at WrestlePalooza. That match was Lee’s first in-ring appearance for WWE in ten years.
That eventually led into the singles program with Lynch over the Women’s Intercontinental Championship. Lee defeated Lynch at Elimination Chamber to win her first singles WWE championship in over a decade before losing it back at WrestleMania.
SummerSlam 2026 takes place on August 1 and 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. WWE has already confirmed that the event will be a two-night show and the first WWE stadium event in the city.
As of now, there is no confirmed date for Lee’s next WWE appearance. The belief is that her current chapter has ended, but WWE has not closed the door on using her again later this year.
