WWE has finally confirmed how fans will be able to watch Worlds Collide. The company announced on Friday’s SmackDown that the show will stream exclusively on its official YouTube channel.
The broadcast will not be live, however. Worlds Collide is set for Saturday, September 26, at Allstate Arena in Chicago, but it will not air until Wednesday, September 30, at 7 p.m. ET (4 p.m. PT). It will be presented in both English and Spanish.
The announcement ends considerable uncertainty that had built in recent weeks. On September 16, Fightful Select reported that Worlds Collide might not air live because no broadcast plans were showing up internally and WWE had not announced a platform.
The picture grew even clearer this week when JBL revealed that he would not be traveling to Chicago to call the show. He said he was initially told that the commentary would be recorded after the event.
The card will feature a six-man tag team match pitting CM Punk, Rey Mysterio and El Grande Americano against Omos, Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh. Penta and Rey Fenix will face Daga and Berto, and La Catalina will defend the AAA Reina de Reinas Championship against Roxanne Perez. Oba Femi is also set to make a special appearance.
Worlds Collide falls on the same Saturday as AEW All Out, which is also being held in the Chicago area. But because WWE has decided not to air Worlds Collide until Wednesday, the two shows will not go head-to-head as live broadcasts.
